One of Minecraft’s most popular mods, TooManyItems, provides users with the ability to create and customize unique items. This control extends to items unavailable in creative mode, which means that you’re given virtually unrestrained creative freedom, regardless of your gameplay mode.
Using this mod, you are able to load and save whole inventories; as well as freely alternate between control time and game modes. In short, TooManyItems Mod is a convenient tool designed for inventory management. However, as you’ll see below, this mod provides a huge selection of features for you to enjoy- well beyond inventory alone.
TooManyItems is only available for single players, although this can be circumvented by you logging in as the administrator of a multiplayer server. Once you’ve downloaded the mod, you can review the features by opening your inventory.
If you access TooManyItems using your normal inventory, you will find a searchable grid of all available items- including blocks. This mod is compatible with other mods, meaning items related to other mods will also appear in this list. Using this inventory, you may then create favorites and save the inventories that you use most frequently. In the left corner of the page, you’ll find a toolbar with features allowing you to control the time, weather and hunger. These are features accessible during gameplay.
During gameplay, use the letter ‘O’ to open your inventory. This opens a sidebar, which features various settings, and different options for you to choose from. One popular choice is ‘On death’, which allows you to keep all of your items if you die. The sidebar gives you all the freedom of your normal inventory, by giving you the option to control the time and weather. As above, you have the ability to do this by turning ‘Rain/snow’ on or off, and by choosing the time of day (in relation to the moon and sun, e.g sunrise or moonrise). The ‘remove potion effect’, which is essentially an antidote to a potion, is also a useful setting available on this mod.
TooManyItems gives you a huge range of customizable features, which is in part what makes it so popular. You have a huge choice of new items to customize, including filled potted plants and leather in different hues- as well as potions and fireworks. What’s more, in addition to the On Death Keep Items feature, you also have an unlimited stacks setting and the ability to switch to spectator mode.
If you choose to access this inventory by clicking the letter ‘O’, you can review all of these features by selecting the various icons at the top of the sidebar. On the far right, you will find the option to access your saved inventories. Here, you will also find customized potions, which you can then modify, by renaming them- and altering their capabilities. At the top of the sidebar, there are also icons for saved inventories; blocks and settings.
This mod is available for download and installation, and to do so, simply locate the 1.9.2/1.9 version of TooManyItems. Alternatively, you may choose to install the earlier but still popular version, 1.8.
